오늘은 제가 세부 여행에서 가장 기대했고,
지금까지도 가장 기억에 남는 액티비티 중 하나인
카와산 폭포 캐녀닝 이야기를 적어보려고 합니다.
아마 세부 여행을 계획해 본 사람이라면
한 번쯤은 카와산 폭포 이야기를 들어봤을 것 같습니다.
저 역시 여행을 준비하면서
수많은 후기와 영상을 봤지만,
직접 경험해 보니 사진이나 영상으로 보는 것과는
전혀 다른 감동이 있었습니다.
단순히 물놀이를 하는 수준이 아니라,
자연 속에서 몸으로 직접 느끼고 즐기는
진짜 모험 같은 경험이었습니다.
지금 생각해도 그날의 물소리와 시원한 바람,
그리고 친구들과 함께 웃으며 보냈던
순간들이 아직도 생생하게 떠오릅니다.

I'm Traveling Siwoon.
Today, I'd like to share one of the activities that I was looking forward to the most during my trip to Cebu, and one that still remains one of my most unforgettable memories—canyoneering at Kawasan Falls.
If you've ever planned a trip to Cebu, you've probably heard about Kawasan Falls at least once.
I had watched countless videos and read many reviews before the trip, but experiencing it in person was completely different from seeing it through photos or videos.
It wasn't just about playing in the water.
It felt like a true adventure, where I could fully enjoy and experience nature with my own body and senses.
Even now, I can still vividly remember the sound of the flowing water, the refreshing breeze, and the moments of laughter I shared with my friends throughout that incredible day.
🌅 여행의 시작
세부에서의 하루는 언제나 설레지만,
이날만큼은 조금 더 특별했습니다.
오늘은 드디어 카와산 폭포 캐녀닝을 하는 날.
아침부터 들뜬 마음으로 준비를 하고 이동했습니다.
이동하는 동안 창밖으로 보이는 풍경들도 너무 아름다웠습니다.
푸른 바다와 야자수, 그리고 여유로운 현지 분위기까지.
한국에서는 쉽게 볼 수 없는 이국적인 풍경들이
여행을 더욱 특별하게 만들어 주었습니다.
친구들과 함께 "오늘 진짜 재밌겠다."라는
이야기를 하면서 기대감을 한껏 키웠습니다.
🌅 The Beginning of the Adventure
Every day in Cebu was exciting, but this day felt even more special.
Today was finally the day we were going canyoneering at Kawasan Falls.
From early in the morning, I was already filled with excitement as we got ready and headed to our destination.
The scenery outside the window during the journey was absolutely beautiful.
The blue ocean, countless palm trees, and the relaxed local atmosphere made everything feel so different from home.
These exotic landscapes, which are not easy to see in Korea, made the trip even more memorable and special.
As my friends and I talked about how much fun the day was going to be, our excitement continued to grow with every passing moment.
🌴 세부의 자연은 정말 특별했다
세부를 여행하면서 가장 크게 느낀 점은
자연이 정말 아름답다는 것이었습니다.
높은 건물이나 복잡한 도심보다는
푸른 산과 맑은 바다가 훨씬 많이 보였습니다.
특히 카와산 폭포가 있는 지역은 마치
정글 속에 들어온 것 같은 느낌이 들 정도였습니다.
울창한 나무들과 맑은 계곡물.
그리고 곳곳에서 들려오는 새소리까지.
도착하기 전부터 이미 힐링이 시작된 기분이었습니다.
🌴 The Beauty of Nature in Cebu
One of the things that impressed me the most during my trip to Cebu was just how beautiful nature truly was.
Instead of towering buildings and crowded city streets, I found myself surrounded by green mountains and crystal-clear seas.
The area around Kawasan Falls, in particular, felt as if I had stepped into the heart of a tropical jungle.
Lush trees, clear streams flowing through the canyon, and the sounds of birds echoing from every direction made the place feel incredibly peaceful.
Even before arriving at the falls, I already felt relaxed and refreshed, as if the healing had begun the moment we entered nature.
🛟 드디어 시작된 캐녀닝
현장에 도착하자마자 안전장비를 지급받았습니다.
헬멧과 구명조끼를 착용하고 간단한 안전교육을 받았습니다.
처음 해보는 활동이라 긴장도 됐지만, 오히려 설렘이 더 컸습니다.
가이드분들도 굉장히 친절했고, 중간중간 사진도 많이 찍어주셨습니다.
친구들과 서로 웃으면서 준비하는 순간조차 좋은 추억으로 남았습니다.
🛟 The Adventure Finally Began
As soon as we arrived at the site, we were given our safety equipment.
After putting on our helmets and life jackets, we received a brief safety briefing before starting the activity.
Since it was my first time trying canyoneering, I felt a little nervous, but the excitement was even greater.
The guides were incredibly friendly and kindly took lots of photos for us throughout the journey.
Even the moments of getting ready, laughing and joking with my friends, have become wonderful memories that I still cherish today.
💦 에메랄드빛 계곡을 걷다
본격적인 코스가 시작되자 정말 감탄밖에 나오지 않았습니다.
사진으로만 보던 에메랄드빛 계곡물이 눈앞에 펼쳐졌습니다.
물이 얼마나 맑은지 바닥이 훤히 보였고,
주변은 온통 초록색 정글로 둘러싸여 있었습니다.
걷는 곳마다 새로운 풍경이 나왔고,
작은 폭포와 자연 수영장들이 이어졌습니다.
평소 도시에서 생활하다 보니
이런 자연을 직접 몸으로 느끼는
경험이 더욱 특별하게 다가왔습니다.
💦 Walking Through the Emerald Canyon
As the real adventure began, I couldn't help but be amazed by what was unfolding before my eyes.
The emerald-colored water that I had only seen in photos was finally right in front of me.
The water was so clear that I could easily see the bottom, and the entire area was surrounded by lush green jungle.
Every step along the route revealed a new and breathtaking view.
Small waterfalls and natural pools seemed to appear one after another, making the journey even more magical.
Living in a busy city most of the time, being able to experience such beautiful nature with my own eyes and body felt incredibly special and unforgettable.
🏞️ 카와산 폭포를 향해
계속해서 계곡을 따라 이동하다 보니
점점 더 거대한 자연 풍경들이 나타났습니다.
맑은 물과 시원한 바람.
그리고 끝없이 이어지는 정글.
정말 영화 속 탐험가가 된 기분이었습니다.
힘들기도 했지만, 그보다 즐거움이 훨씬 컸습니다.
함께했던 친구들도 모두 신나 있었고,
서로 장난치며 웃었던 기억이 아직도 생생합니다.
🌈 드디어 만난 카와산 폭포
드디어 카와산 폭포에 도착했습니다.
직접 본 카와산 폭포는 상상했던 것보다 훨씬 웅장했습니다.
엄청난 양의 물이 쏟아지고 있었고,
햇빛이 비치면서 무지개까지 만들어지고 있었습니다.
그 순간만큼은 정말 시간이 멈춘 것 같았습니다.
많은 관광객들이 있었지만,
모두가 자연의 아름다움에 감탄하고 있었습니다.
저 역시 한동안 아무 말 없이 폭포만 바라보고 있었습니다.
사진으로는 절대 담기지 않는 감동이라는 말이 딱 맞는 것 같습니다.
🏞️ Heading Toward Kawasan Falls
As we continued walking along the canyon, the scenery became even more spectacular.
Crystal-clear water, refreshing breezes, and endless tropical jungle surrounded us from every direction.
At times, it truly felt as if we had become explorers in a movie.
The journey was physically challenging at moments, but the excitement and joy far outweighed the fatigue.
My friends were just as excited as I was, and I can still vividly remember all the laughter, jokes, and unforgettable moments we shared along the way.
🌈 Finally Arriving at Kawasan Falls
At last, we reached Kawasan Falls.
Seeing it in person was far more breathtaking than I had ever imagined.
An enormous amount of water cascaded down the cliffs, and as the sunlight shone through the mist, a beautiful rainbow appeared before our eyes.
For that brief moment, it honestly felt as if time had stopped.
Although there were many tourists around, everyone seemed to be equally amazed by the beauty of nature.
I, too, stood there in silence for a while, simply admiring the magnificent waterfall.
People often say that some experiences cannot be fully captured in photographs, and I believe Kawasan Falls is truly one of them.
📷 인생사진도 많이 남겼다
여행에서 사진은 정말 중요한 것 같습니다.
시간이 지나면 기억은 흐려지지만,
사진은 그 순간을 그대로 남겨주기 때문입니다.
이번 여행에서도 정말 많은 사진을 찍었습니다.
특히 카와산 폭포 앞에서 양팔을 벌리고 찍은 사진은
지금 봐도 너무 만족스럽습니다.
뒤로는 거대한 폭포가 흐르고 있었고,
햇빛 때문에 생긴 무지개까지 함께 담겨 있었습니다.
아마 앞으로도 오래도록 기억에 남을 사진이 될 것 같습니다.
👬 친구들과 함께라 더 즐거웠던 여행
아무리 좋은 장소라도 혼자였다면
지금처럼 기억에 남지는 않았을 것 같습니다.
함께 웃고, 함께 사진을 찍고,
함께 물속을 걸었던 친구들이 있었기에
더욱 행복한 시간이 되었습니다.
지금도 당시 사진들을 보면
자연스럽게 웃음이 나옵니다.
언젠가 다시 세부를 방문하게 된다면
꼭 다시 함께 가보고 싶다는 생각이 듭니다.
📷 Capturing Memories That Will Last a Lifetime
I believe that photographs are one of the most important parts of traveling.
As time passes, our memories may gradually fade, but photographs preserve those precious moments exactly as they were.
I took countless pictures during this trip, and each one tells a different story.
Among them, my favorite is definitely the photo of me standing in front of Kawasan Falls with my arms wide open.
Even now, I still love looking at that picture.
Behind me, the powerful waterfall was flowing endlessly, and a beautiful rainbow created by the sunlight completed the scene.
I have no doubt that it will remain one of my most cherished memories for many years to come.
👬 Traveling with Friends Made Everything Better
No matter how beautiful a place may be, I don't think it would have stayed in my heart the same way if I had experienced it alone.
The laughter we shared, the photos we took together, and the moments we spent walking through the water made this journey truly unforgettable.
Because I had such wonderful friends by my side, the entire experience became even more meaningful and enjoyable.
Even now, whenever I look back at those photos, I can't help but smile.
If I ever have the chance to visit Cebu again someday, I know that I would love to return to Kawasan Falls with the same friends and create even more unforgettable memories together.

💭 여행이 주는 특별한 의미
여행은 단순히 새로운 장소를 보는 것만이 아니라,
평소와 다른 삶을 경험하는 시간이라고 생각합니다.
익숙한 환경을 벗어나 새로운 사람들을 만나고,
새로운 문화를 접하며, 새로운 도전을 하게 됩니다.
이번 카와산 폭포 캐녀닝 역시 저에게는 그런 특별한 경험 중 하나였습니다.
처음 해보는 활동이었고,
처음 보는 자연이었으며,
처음 느끼는 감정들이 많았습니다.
그래서 더욱 오래 기억에 남는 것 같습니다.
🌏 언젠가 다시 가고 싶은 곳
만약 누군가 세부 여행에서 가장 기억에 남는
장소가 어디였냐고 묻는다면,
저는 망설임 없이 카와산 폭포를 이야기할 것 같습니다.
에메랄드빛 계곡과 거대한 폭포.
그리고 친구들과 함께했던 소중한 추억.
모든 것이 완벽했던 하루였습니다.
언젠가 다시 세부를 방문하게 된다면,
가장 먼저 다시 가고 싶은 장소
역시 카와산 폭포가 아닐까 생각합니다.
그때는 또 어떤 새로운 추억들이 생길지 벌써부터 기대됩니다.
그날의 기억만큼은 오랫동안 제 마음속에 남아 있을 것 같습니다.

💭 The Special Meaning of Traveling
I believe that traveling is more than simply visiting new places.
It is an opportunity to experience a different way of life from our everyday routines.
By stepping out of familiar surroundings, we meet new people, discover different cultures, and challenge ourselves with new experiences.
My canyoneering adventure at Kawasan Falls was definitely one of those special moments.
It was my first time trying such an activity, my first time witnessing this kind of breathtaking natural beauty, and my first time feeling many of the emotions that came with it.
Perhaps that is why these memories have remained so vivid and meaningful to me even after all this time.
🌏 A Place I Hope to Visit Again Someday
If someone were to ask me which place left the strongest impression during my trip to Cebu, I would answer without hesitation—Kawasan Falls.
The emerald-colored canyon, the magnificent waterfall, and the precious memories I shared with my friends made that day absolutely perfect.
If I ever return to Cebu in the future, I think Kawasan Falls would be the very first place I would want to visit again.
Even now, I find myself wondering what new memories might be waiting for me there.
Although the journey has come to an end, the memories of that incredible day will remain in my heart for a very long time.
